Establishing Mobile Health Units

Mobile Health Units and Emergency Dispensary Establishment in Remote and Underserved Areas of India

FSHF proposes launching Mobile Health Units (MHUs) and Emergency Dispensaries in India’s underserved regions to address the critical healthcare gap where hospitals are often 40–50 km away.

  • Strategy: The plan involves deploying 2–5 MHUs in rural areas and 4–5 MHUs in hilly regions, along with the establishment of Mini Dispensaries.

  • Goals: To improve healthcare access, save lives, and build healthier communities by providing prompt treatment and care.

  • SDG Alignment: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
