Disaster/Crisis Relief
FSHF stepped up to provide critical support during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, addressing the severe situation faced by the poorest and daily wage earners. Relief activities focused on: 1. Distribution of essential supplies: Over 2,500 cooked meals and 3,000+ total meals (including dry rations) were distributed to migrant workers and vulnerable communities in Rohtas district. The foundation also distributed masks and sanitizers to villagers and migrant workers. 2. Awareness Campaigns: Volunteers spread correct information about precautions, social distancing, and hygiene to counter rumors and fear. 3. Immunity Boosting: Demonstrated methods like medicinal kadha preparation and distributed saplings of Giloe, Bramhi, and Tulsi. The response showcased the foundation's capability to pivot quickly and provide humanitarian services during a large-scale public health crisis.
