Installation of Sanitary Napkin
The Fulminare Social Help Foundation (FSHF) is launching this critical Women Empowerment Project with a total goal of ₹1,00,00,000 (₹1 Crore) , targeting rural and underprivileged areas across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand. This initiative addresses the crucial issue of menstrual hygiene awareness and accessibility, empowering women and girls with dignity and better health.
The project aims for a one-year pilot program focusing on widespread accessibility and dignified use. The ₹45 Lakh Installation Budget covers:
250 Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines : These units will be primarily manual and operate without electricity for reliability in rural settings. They will utilize fingerprint-based technology to prevent misuse and ensure fair access.
50 Public Sanitary Napkin Usage Booths : These vital private booths address the lack of washrooms in some areas, providing a hygienic and discreet usage space.
Hygiene Facilities: Installation of 250 Handwash Dispensers and procurement of 500 Dustbins for safe disposal (SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation).
Sustainability and continuous hygiene require robust maintenance, covered by the ₹55 Lakh Annual Budget:
Livelihood Creation (SDG 8): The project creates employment opportunities by hiring and training 20 Hygiene Maintenance Staff and 5 Distribution Managers for refilling, cleaning, and reporting.
Refill and Awareness: Funds are allocated for the continuous supply of sanitary pads, handwash, and materials , alongside Awareness Campaigns led by trainers to promote menstrual hygiene education.
The project's integration of technology and dedicated staff ensures responsible usage and sustainable access, serving as a critical step toward realizing Gender Equality in the daily lives of rural women.
The core proposal detailing the problem, objectives (including fingerprint technology and usage booths), the initial $350,000 installation budget, and the $300,000 annual maintenance/refill budget.
