Sustainable Agriculture
This initiative directly tackles the significant environmental and health challenge of crop residue burning in India, which causes severe air pollution and soil degradation. FSHF introduced a modern stubble management machine in collaboration with grassroots farmers to process crop residue instead of burning it. This process efficiently converts the stubble into valuable resources: Organic compost to enrich soil; Livestock fodder for cost-effective farming; and materials for Biofuel and renewable energy. This project promotes alternatives like composting, mulching, and bio-fertilizer production, which actively mitigate the problem.
